Thornybush
Game Reserve is situated in 11 500 hectares of pristine African
bushveld.
The reserve is adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park
and offers prime game-viewing territory.
Tourists are guaranteed excellent game viewing opportunities
as the knobthorn and sallow grasslands support the Big Five
and over 250 species of birds. Thornybush has five lodges, and
guests can enjoy drives in open Landrovers at both dusk and
dawn, led by knowledgeable and fully qualified rangers.
Thornybush
game reserve lies adjacent to the Timbavati Game Reserve and
is easily accessible from the town of Hoedspruit. Set in the
heart of South Africa's Lowveld, it is an area that has an abundance
of bird and mammal species.
The
accommodation in the reserve will suit almost any traveller,
as it ranges from homely bush comfort to real luxury. The lodges
have swimming pools to help guest cool off, while the more adventurous
can do exciting bush walks.
